Western Omelette

3 eggs
2 tbsp (30mL) water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp (15mL) butter
¼ cup (50mL) diced ham
3 tbsp (45mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tbsp (30mL) Bick’s® Zesty Onion Relish
Finely chopped parsley or chives for garnish, optional
1. Mix eggs together with a fork just until blended and not foamy. Add water and seasonings. Mix lightly.

2. Heat butter in 8” (20 cm) frying pan over medium-high heat until just starting to brown. Pan should be hot. Pour in egg mixture. Shake pan gently and stir slowly with back of a fork, letting uncooked mixture flow to bottom of pan.

3. When omelette has begun to set, sprinkle ham and cheese along centre and dot with relish. Let omelette stand a few seconds to lightly brown. Fold portion of omelette nearest panhandle to centre. Tilt pan and turn omelette onto warm plate, flipping folded portion over. Garnish as desired.

Baking Time : 5 Minutes

Makes: 1 omelette

Tip:
1. For an open omelette, sprinkle filling over entire omelette. Broil lightly to melt cheese.
